Karl Gee is a world-class energy systems architect and strategic leader, specializing in large-scale renewable energy infrastructure, high-reliability power solutions, and grid integration. As the Chief Technology Officer of Avaris Inc., he designs and implements mission-critical energy systems that support industrial-scale operations for its subsidiaries Cyna and Menera. With over 30 years of experience, Karl has led some of the most advanced microgrid, energy storage, and grid-interconnection projects in the industry.

Karl is recognized for his deep technical expertise in solar, wind, battery energy storage (BESS), islanded microgrids, and energy distribution systems. His work has enabled 99.999% uptime reliability for energy-intensive industries by integrating high-resilience hybrid storage solutions, substation development, and advanced grid interconnectivity. His ability to engineer flexible power trading models, virtual power plant (VPP) capabilities, and high-density renewable infrastructure has positioned him as a leader in energy innovation.

Karl’s experience spans multiple industries, from industrial-scale renewable power and smart utility grids to Fortune 100 corporate energy solutions. He led the energy modernization of 128 school facilities in Boston, managed nationwide retail energy efficiency retrofits for over 1,000 commercial locations, and developed large-scale power system upgrades for corporate and industrial clients. His expertise in district utility models, energy security strategies, and AI-driven energy management ensured the delivery of institutional-grade, investment-ready energy solutions for the next generation of infrastructure.
